Redesigning for New User Engagement & Retention

During this project, I learned methods for capturing and measuring user interaction and satisfaction as well as strategies for incorporating those results into an iterative UX design process. Through case study analysis, I researched, affinitized, analyzed, designed, tested, and reported usability for Duolingo's mobile app, in which it enabled mid-lesson progress saving, reduced excessive content, and clearly explained key features so new users would experience less frustration and cognitive overload, because improved clarity, control, and guidance supports sustained engagement and retention.
